Experts in Evidence Room Organization, Inventory and Auditing
Evidence is the Hidden and Ticking Time Bomb, Often Low Priority and Neglected, Can Lead to Lost Cases or Lawsuits.
Evidence is the Hidden and Ticking Time Bomb in most law enforcement agencies today. For most law enforcement agencies, the property room or property component has been a low priority in terms of operations, staffing, and resource allocation.
Most departments do not have the resources to maintain a property and evidence technician 24 hours a day, or have personnel assigned specifically to the evidence room full time. In today’s climate for law enforcement, this is one of many issues law enforcement agencies currently face, as well as evolving challenges that lie ahead.
One of these areas is in the area of evidence and the legal liability each department holds in maintaining a current and accurate list and location of all items of evidence in their control.
As founder and owner of Key Evidence Inventory. My partner and I are both recently retired from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department with a combined 50 years of service in law enforcement and understand the liability issues facing law enforcement today.
We provide an objective and independent evidence inventory service to law enforcement agencies throughout the State of California and follow all POST guidelines. There are several companies in the state which provide audit services to agencies but do not provide a complete and independent inventory service. We provide a list of all items in your departments evidence inventory.
